Highway clean up - Doing our part for our community.

Care Net will be picking up our segment of highway along I-75 on Saturday, May 5. We will meet at Care Net for a quick safety video and to collect safety vests, trash bags, etc. Then we will drive out to the work site. If we can get 12 people to help out, our short 1.5 mile stretch will look great in a jiffy!

Roland Warren as "speaker," dinner catered by Karl's, and exciting information to get you involved with Care Net!

Spring Banquet 2018 - Firm Foundations

Care Net Pregnancy Center's Annual Spring Banquet fundraising dinner is Friday, April 13, 2018 at Sault Wesleyan Church, 3556 Saymour Rd., Sault Ste. Marie.

Roland Warren's video presentation, given at the 2017 Care Net National Conference, will be the main speech for this evening. Roland Warren is the CEO of the Care Net National organization. In his presentation, Roland gives a solid explanation for why Care Net Pregnancy Centers operate the way we do, and the reason why we, as para-church ministries, need local churches and individuals involved in helping to minister to women and men facing pregnancy decisions.

Please RSVP by March 30 by calling Care Net at 906-635-1103 or emailing cnpcofeup@gmail.com. Use this fun event to invite friends and neighbors that might be interested in supporting Care Net Pregnancy Center of the EUP.

Dinner will be catered by Karl's Cuisine.

Care Net asks you to join us in a 24-Hour Prayer Vigil to cover the EUP in prayer for the value of life and religious freedoms as the Supreme Court prepares to hear arguments in the case of NIFLA v. Becerra.

24-Hour Prayer Vigil

On March 20th, the Supreme Court of the United States will hear arguments in the case of NIFLA vs. Becerra. This case is pivotal to the religious freedoms of pregnancy centers in California, but has great implications in Hawaii and Illinois, where similar laws have already been passed. Many other states have similar legislation in the process of being presented to their legislatures.

We ask you to join us in prayer for this case – and the future of our country – beginning at 5:00 p.m. March 2 through 5:00 p.m. March 3. Sign up for the time that best suits you, whether fifteen minutes or 2 hours. Then, pray in your home or at your church.

Call the Center at 906-635-1103 or email cnpcofeup@gmail.com to add your name to the prayer schedule.

More information regarding the legal case of NIFLA vs. Becerra can be found at www.nifla.org. A list of prayer items can be found on CNPC's blog page at www.eupforlife.org/TheLatest.

Please join us in bathing the EUP in prayer for the value of life and for religious freedoms.

Fred Young and Steve Summerland of the Promise FM broadcast live from Care Net Pregnancy Center this past Friday. We visited, shared information about the ministry here, and chatted with folks that stopped in.

Many that stopped by also brought donations for the Baby Mart. We received:

  • 623 diapers
  • 348 baby wipes
  • 2 onesies
  • 3 stuffed animals
  • 17 baby bottles
  • 2 boppy pillows
  • 8 bottles of Similac formula

  • 6 pairs of children's shoes
  • 9 baby bibs
  • 4 pacifiers
  • 2 mobiles

January is Sanctity of Human Life month. Show your support for life in the EUP by participating in Caring for Care Net Sunday.

It is hard to believe another year has already passed by, and yet when we see how God has worked through Care Net to encourage life for moms, dads, and their unborn children, we are amazed that only a year has passed.

So far in 2017, Care Net has served 62 individual clients at 421 appointments, 23 of which were medical clients seeking pregnancy tests and ultrasound confirmations of pregnancy. 3 of these were abortion-minded and we are asking for prayer as they live with the hurt and guilt that many times accompanies this decision.

Care Net has always been a Christian, faith-led ministry – a "para-church" ministry. This means that while we are not tied to one particular denomination or congregation, we are an extension of the ministry to which the church as a whole is called in James 1:27. We do not take government funding or grants so we can continue to share not only truth, but also God's love, through our contacts with the women and men of the EUP. We are dependent on the churches of this area for both prayer support and financial support.

We are again asking you to host a Caring for Care Net Sunday in January 2018, Sanctity of Human Life month. Please feel free to make this Sunday special to your congregation, but here are some suggestions. Leading up to the Sunday you choose, you can use the enclosed bulletin insert to excite your congregation about supporting Care Net. On that day, please share a short 7-minute video about Care Net and take a free-will offering for Care Net. The video is available online here. If you would like to also include a baby bottle campaign, please contact us for a supply of baby bottles.

We would love to come and share personally with your congregation about how God is working through us to save lives – not only the physical lives of the unborn, but also the eternal lives of whole families.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email us.
